Benedicte Brøgger is associate professor II in economic anthropology. She teaches and supervises at bachelor, master and doctoral level. Brøgger holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oslo, Department of Social Anthropology from 2001. She has extensive field work experience in South-east Asia and Norway. In 2007-2009 she was visiting scholar at the University of Chicago. She combines the responsibilities at BI with her job as Research Director of the Work Research Institute. Her research areas are enterprise development, cultural and social conditions for growth, the market economy, industrial relations, leadership and participation.
